Skardu Origins began with a simple observation: the food grown in the high valleys of Gilgit-Baltistan — at 2,500 metres and above, watered by glaciers and ripened by intense mountain sun — is unlike anything found in the plains. Apricots sweeter than candy. Honey gathered from wild Robinia and Sidr blossoms. Shilajit seeping from ancient rock faces. For centuries, the people of Skardu, Hunza and Gilgit have lived long, vigorous lives on this food.
Yet most of what reaches city shelves under the label "Hunza" or "organic" has been diluted, heat-treated, adulterated or stored so long that the goodness is gone. We founded Skardu Origins to fix that. We buy directly from the farmers and foragers we know by name, we process everything using traditional cold methods, and we ship it fresh — so what you receive is exactly what the mountains produced.
Today, Skardu Origins delivers rare mountain honeys, pure Himalayan Shilajit, cold-pressed oils, dried fruits and superfood powders to households across Pakistan. Every order supports mountain farming families and keeps centuries-old harvesting traditions alive.
